This week, the power battery cell market has been relatively weak. Despite policy support in the end-use automotive market, actual sales have not seen a significant increase. The inventory de-stocking pace of OEMs has been slow, and production schedules continue to be compressed, leading to delays in battery cell procurement. For ternary battery cells, production schedules for high-end car models have been weak. Fluctuations in the export market, coupled with the failure of previous optimistic expectations, have caused the center of transaction prices to continue to decline. Some enterprises have proactively loosened their quotes to secure remaining orders, intensifying competition. As OEMs' desire to drive down prices increases, transaction prices continue to remain weak. Overall, the power battery cell industry is currently in the bargaining stage of the de-stocking cycle, and the downward adjustment of prices has not yet ended. Unless end-use consumption significantly improves or overseas orders substantially recover, battery cell enterprises will continue to prioritize production control and price reductions as their main strategies.
